★ विधिक माप विज्ञान (पैकेज्ड कमोडिटीज) नियम, 2011 Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 के तहत GST को ले कर चल रहे मामले के निवारण के लिए मौजूदा नियम की समय सीमा 1 महीने बढ़ाये जाने की प्रबल संभावनाएं। 

★ इस एक्ट के तहत जो भी आइटम उपभोगकर्ता द्वारा इस्तेमाल की जाती है चाहे वह खाद्य प्रदार्थ हो या फिर अखाद्य शामिल होते हैं। 

★ नए नियमों में किये गए बदलाव के कारण कई उधोग ने मांगी थी स्पष्टता।

★ केवल चावल और दलहन कारोबारियों में सरकार को पूर्ण रूप से समझाया, अन्य का फीडबैक नहीं आया। 

★ अभी हाल ही में हुए मीटिंग जिसमें देश की कई बढ़ी संस्थाएं जैसे कि दिल्ली ग्रेन मर्चेंट एसोसिएशन में दिया संज्ञान। 

★ सरकार जल्द ही इस मामले में संज्ञान ले कर नियमों में बदलाव ला सकती हैं जैसी कि agricultural farm produce की शब्दावली की बदलना। 

★ सरकार ने कहा कि इस सरकार कृषि पैकिंग पर GST लगाने के पक्ष में नहीं हैं उल्टा नियमों में और ढील देने की सोच रही है जैसे कि पैकिंग को 25 किलो से घटा कर 10 किलो की जाये।

★ Under Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, there is a strong possibility of extending the time limit of the existing rule by 1 month for resolving the ongoing case related to GST.

★ Under this act, any item which is used by the consumer, whether it is food or non-food, is included.

★ Due to the changes made in the new rules, many industries had sought clarity.

★ Only rice and pulses traders explained the matter to the government in full, feedback from others was not received.

★ Recently, a meeting was held in which many big organizations of the country like Delhi Grain Merchant Association took cognizance.

★ The government can soon take cognizance of this matter and bring changes in the rules like changing the terminology of agricultural farm produce.

★ The government said that this government is not in favor of imposing GST on agricultural packing, on the contrary, it is thinking of relaxing the rules further like reducing the packing from 25 kg to 10 kg.
