★ बीते सीजन में बासमती धान के अच्छे भाव मिलने से उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, पंजाब, हरियाणा में बढ़ी बिजाई परन्तु मौजूदा कीमतों को देख किसान हो रहे हैं परेशान।

★ मंडियों में बासमती धान अधिकतर 2500 रुपए प्रति क्विंटल पर बिक रही है। गत सीजन में यही धान 3000 रुपए से ऊपर बिकी थी।

★ अच्छे उत्पादन को देख भविष्य में कीमतें घटने की उम्मीद में मिलर्स कम मात्रा में कर रहे हैं धान खरीद।

★ घटे भावों से एक ही फायदा कि निर्यात बढ़ सकता है।

★ आई ग्रेन इंडिया की मानें तो भविष्य में चावल की कीमतों में बन सकता है दबाव।

★ Due to good prices of Basmati rice in the last season, sowing increased in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana but seeing the current prices, farmers are getting worried.

★ Basmati rice is mostly being sold at Rs 2500 per quintal in the markets. Last season, the same rice was sold for more than Rs 3000.

★ Seeing the good production, millers are buying rice in less quantity in the hope of reduction in prices in future.

★ The only benefit from reduced prices is that exports can increase.

★ If I Grain India is to be believed, there may be pressure on rice prices in future.
