News Capsule: Australia Chickpea and Lentil Exports: Sources
★ According to reliable sources, Australia exported about 30,000 tonnes of chickpeas by vessel and 10,000 tonnes in containers during October.
★ In November, exports are expected to reach around 300,000 tonnes of chickpeas by vessel and 50,000 tonnes in containers.
★ During November, lentil exports totaled 60,000 tonnes by vessel and 35,000 tonnes in containers.
★ These exports were mainly shipped to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

Export Prices Firm Up (CNF)
★ Australian chickpeas, which were priced at $485 per tonne on October 15, rose to $500 recently.
★ During the same period, lentil prices also strengthened.
★ Australian lentils for Kolkata bulk vessels increased from $490 to $510 per tonne, while container prices jumped from $500 to $520.
★ Canadian lentils CNF JNPT port prices moved up from $525 to $540 per tonne, and Kandla prices rose from $495 to $515.
★ The rise in CNF prices could influence domestic market trends, though keeping an eye on export volumes would also be prudent.
