★ Pulse Canada has welcomed China’s decision to remove the 100% import tariff on Canadian peas. The tariff will be lifted from March 1, 2026, restoring Canada’s access to one of its most important export markets, China.
★ The tariff was imposed in March 2025, which had virtually halted Canadian pea exports to China. Between 2019 and 2024, Canada exported peas worth around $3.7 billion to China.
