News Capsule: India mustard sowing up, crop condition normal: SEA
★ Mustard acreage in India has increased to about 77.06 lakh hectares as of November 30, nearly 6% higher than last year, according to the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA).
★ Significant expansion in mustard area has been reported in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and West Bengal.
★ Crop conditions are largely normal, supported by favourable weather and adequate soil moisture.
★ If weather conditions remain normal, mustard production is expected to improve in the 2025–26 rabi season.
