News Capsule: Mustard Meal Exports – China Leads: SEA
★ Exports of mustard meal have recorded a sharp surge during the current season. From April to November 2025, total exports stood at 651,829 tons, with China accounting for nearly 47% of the total shipments, according to the The Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA).
★ This marks a substantial increase compared to just 25,624 tons exported during the same period last year.
★ Towards the end of the season, exports slowed somewhat due to reduced domestic crushing activity and limited availability of mustard meal. However, with China’s GACC approving additional Indian companies, exports are expected to expand further in the coming months. Supported by competitive pricing in line with global markets, Indian mustard meal continues to remain attractive in the international market.
