News Capsule: Tur Market Update: Steady Uptrend in Prices
★ Today, major tur markets including Chennai, Delhi, and Solapur witnessed a rise in prices this week.
★ In Chennai, the lemon variety of tur increased by Rs 75 to trade at Rs 6,675 per quintal.
★ In Delhi, lemon tur was priced at Rs 7,025 per quintal (+50), while Maharashtra and Karnataka varieties stood at Rs 7,150 and Rs 7,250 per quintal respectively.
★ In Solapur, the bilty rate for the pink variety ranged between Rs 6,200–7,350 per quintal (+250).
★ In the Burma market, the FOB/C&F price of lemon tur rose by $15 to reach $755 per ton.
★ In Latur, Muhurat rates for Lal Maruti and 63 number tur were both Rs 7,500 per quintal, up by Rs 200.
★ Steady domestic demand along with stability in international markets is keeping prices firm.
★ Additionally, this year’s adverse weather has affected production, creating strong prospects for further price increases in the near future.
