★According to the February WASDE report released by the USDA, the global soybean market for the 2025–26 season is projected to witness increases in production, consumption, and ending stocks.
★The report estimates beginning stocks for 2025–26 at 123.66 million tonnes, up by 8.58 million tonnes from last season’s 115.08 million tonnes.
★Global production is projected at 428.18 million tonnes, slightly higher than 427.15 million tonnes recorded in 2024–25, reflecting an increase of 1.03 million tonnes.
★Global imports are estimated at 185.99 million tonnes, marking a rise of 6.5 million tonnes compared to the previous year.
★Meanwhile, crush demand is projected at 368.03 million tonnes, up by 8.81 million tonnes, and total domestic consumption is expected to reach 424.71 million tonnes , an increase of 10.97 million tonnes year-on-year.
★On the trade front, global exports are forecast at 187.57 million tonnes, up by 3.24 million tonnes from last season.
★Ending stocks for 2025–26 are projected at 125.51 million tonnes, reflecting an increase of 1.85 million tonnes.
★Overall, the report indicates strength in both global supply and demand fundamentals, which could influence international soybean price trends in the coming months.
