पंजाब में धान सरकारी खरीद रफ़्तार धीमी
★ 23 अक्टूबर तक 37.67 लाख टन धान खरीद की गयी जो गतवर्ष 49 लाख टन थी।
★ चालू सीजन में 185 लाख टन खरीद लक्ष्य रखा गया।
★ पंजाब में अब तक 22% धान की कटाई हो चुकी है, गत वर्ष से 20% कम।
★ स्टोरेज की कमी के चलते खरीद पर भी पड़ रहा है असर, इस वर्ष केवल 7 लाख टन चावल 124 लाख टन के स्टॉक में से निकाला।
★ कई हाइब्रिड वेरायटी आने के बाद मिलर्स को 67% OTR के मुकाबले केवल 60-62% ही मिल पा रहा है।
★ मिलर्स को 300 रुपए प्रति क्विंटल का हो रहा है नुकसान।

Slow pace of government procurement of paddy in Punjab
★ Till 23rd October, 37.67 lakh ton paddy was procured as against 49 lakh ton last year.
★ In the current season, the procurement target was set at 185 lakh ton.
★ Till now, 22% paddy has been harvested in Punjab, 20% less than last year.
★ Lack of storage is also affecting procurement, this year only 7 lakh ton rice was procured from a stock of 124 lakh ton.
★ After the introduction of many hybrid varieties, millers are getting only 60-62% as against 67% OTR.
★ Millers are incurring a loss of Rs. 300 per quintal.
