Palm oil exports from Malaysia to India, China and EU increased in July

Singapore. Although the official data on production, use, export and excess stock of Malaysian palm oil for the month of July is expected to be released by the government agency - Malaysian Palm Oil Board (Ampob) on August 10, but before that,

an overview of the data released by cargo surveyors - analysts show that the export of Malaysian palm oil products increased by a spectacular 3-4 lakh tonnes during July 2024 as compared to June.

According to a report by Intertek Testing Services (ITS), a leading cargo surveyor, Malaysia exported 13.07 lakh tonnes of palm oil products in June,

which increased to around 16.05 lakh tonnes in July. India, European Union and China were its three early buyers, where exports increased during July as compared to June.

According to the ITS report, the highest 3.86 lakh tonnes of palm oil products were exported from Malaysia to India during July 2024 as compared to June.

This was followed by shipment of 3.82 lakh tonnes of palm oil products to the European Union and 1.39 lakh tonnes to China.

In June, 3.07 lakh tonnes of palm oil was sent from Malaysia to India, 3.41 lakh tonnes to the European Union and 1.14 lakh tonnes to China.
