★ According to data from last week, about 7% of the sowing target has been completed so far. In many regions, farmers have not yet finished harvesting their Kharif crops. As a result, sowing has progressed mainly in mustard-growing areas.
★ Mustard has been sown on about 20% of the target area.
★ Chickpea sowing has reached 5%, while crops like peas and lentils have been sown on about 1% of the area, and Taramira on around 4%.
★ Sowing of wheat and barley has not yet begun.
