23 January

24 January
★ Light to moderate rainfall is likely over northwest India, including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
★ Widespread rainfall and snowfall are expected over the hill states.
★ This spell of rain and snowfall is expected to benefit rabi crops such as wheat, mustard, gram and barley. Several regions have not received adequate rainfall so far during the rabi season, and any fresh precipitation is likely to improve soil moisture levels and boost crop productivity.
