Export Inspection data showed 965,063 MT (35.46 mbu) of soybeans were shipped during the week ending October 30, down 16.8% from the previous week and 58.3% below the same week last year. Egypt was the top destination with 234,353 MT, followed by Italy with 138,647 MT and Mexico with 133,192 MT. Total shipments for the marketing year have reached 7.78 MMT (285.88 mbu), marking a 40% year-over-year decline.
According to StoneX, the US soybean yield is estimated at 53.6 bpa, down 0.3 bpa from last month. USDA is expected to release its data next Friday, according to last week’s update.
The monthly Fats & Oils report will not be released this afternoon, though analysts expect 205.4 mbu of soybeans were crushed during September.
AgRural estimates Brazil’s soybean crop is 47% planted as of Thursday, behind last year’s 54% pace.
