USDA’s FGIS report showed soybean export shipments at 669,865 metric tons (24.61 million bushels) for the week ending February 19. This was 44.9% lower than the previous week and 23.8% below the same week last year.
China was the top destination with 344,885 metric tons, followed by Mexico with 98,686 metric tons and Egypt with 52,839 metric tons. For the 2025/26 marketing year, total soybean exports since September 1 have reached 25.033 million metric tons (919.8 million bushels), which is 32.2% below the same period last year.
On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the President cannot use IEEPA for tariff purposes. President Donald Trump later indicated he would implement a 10% blanket tariff under Section 122 of the 1974 Trade Act for 150 days, before raising it to 15% over the weekend.
AgRural estimates Brazil’s soybean harvest at 30% complete, trailing last year’s 39% pace for the same period.
