Brasilia. A leading trade analyst has projected that soybean production in Brazil will reach an all-time high of 178.5 million tons in the 2025-26 marketing season, an increase of 6.7 million tons from the record production of 171.8 million tons in the 2024-25 season.
Similarly, soybean exports from Brazil are projected to increase by 1.5 million tons from 109.5 million tons in 2025 to a new record level of 111 million tons in 2026.
It is noteworthy that Brazil, located in Latin America, is the world's leading producer and exporter of soybeans, and India imports a significant amount of soybean oil from there.
According to the analyst firm, due to record production, soybean crushing and processing in Brazil is expected to increase from 58.5 million tons in the current season to 60.5 million tons in the next season, which will naturally lead to an increase in soymeal production and exportable stocks.
Soybean DOC production is projected to increase from 45.1 million tons in the 2024-25 season to 46.6 million tons in the 2025-26 season.
Similarly, soybean oil production in Brazil is expected to increase from 11.7 million tons to 12.1 million tons, and its exports are expected to improve from 23.60 lakh tons to 24.60 lakh tons.
An analysis of the above data suggests that Brazil could set new records for the production and export of soybeans and its value-added products during the 2025-26 marketing season.
Soybean sowing has been ongoing since September, and farmers are showing great enthusiasm for cultivating this most important oilseed.
