As per market sources, there is a possibility that the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies tender may be issued tomorrow or the day after.

With state elections expected in Tamil Nadu in the near future, it is widely believed that the current government may prefer to release the tender before the Model Code of Conduct comes into force.

Market participants are of the view that, in the upcoming tender, masoor (lentils) could be given priority over tuar (pigeon pea). In previous tenders, tuar did not perform well due to relatively higher prices, resulting in limited and less attractive procurement.
