Chickpea Prices Fluctuate Due to Subdued Buying
New Delhi: Chickpea prices witnessed fluctuations during the current week due to limited buying at higher prices. However, prices declined towards the end of the week due to increased selling pressure and sluggish demand. Sporadic arrivals of new chickpeas were observed in the markets of Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat this week, but trade circles believe that it will take some time for the arrival of new chickpeas to increase significantly. Therefore, the market is likely to remain volatile within a limited range in the near future.
