Moong Market Downtrend, Pressure Due to Slow Buying by Pulse Millers
Moong prices declined during the current week. While sufficient moong availability remained in the producing markets, weak consumer support prevented prices from strengthening. According to market analysts, weak moong demand led to sluggish buying by pulse millers. This not only slowed down the pace of buying in the market but also put continued pressure on prices. If demand does not improve in the coming days and arrivals remain high in the producing markets, pressure on moong prices may persist. However, with increased buying, there is a possibility that the market will stabilize and prices will improve. Due to weak buying by pulse millers, Delhi moong prices declined by Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week, bringing the Rajasthan price down to Rs. 5000/7800 per quintal.
