Limited fluctuations in mustard prices with normal trading

New Delhi. Due to normal buying by crushing-processing units and limited supply of goods in the markets, there was not much fluctuation in the price of mustard during the week of 19-20 July.

42% Condition Mustard

The price of 42 percent condition mustard remained at the previous level of Rs 5950 in Delhi and Rs 6075/6100 per quintal in Jaipur. Although the price of normal category mustard improved by Rs 45 in Deesa and Dhanera Mandi of Gujarat, but it fell by Rs 100 to Rs 5300/5600 per quintal in Sirsa Mandi of Haryana and by Rs 50 to Rs 5900 per quintal in Charkhi Dadri.

Madhya Pradesh

There was no change in the price of mustard in Morena, Porsa and Gwalior Mandi of Madhya Pradesh, but in the most prominent producing state of Rajasthan, Ganganagar, it fell by Rs 50 to Rs 5450 per quintal and in Bharatpur, it fell by Rs 60 to Rs 5660 per quintal. Similarly, the price of mustard softened by Rs 50 in Khairthal and Rs 100 in Bundi, but the price of mustard remained stable at Rs 6075 per quintal in Bikaner, but in Agra Mandi it fell by Rs 175 to Rs 6325 per quintal.

The arrival of mustard has come down to 3.00-3.50 lakh sacks daily, whereas in the initial months of the season it had reached above 8-9 lakh sacks. Due to the stoppage of government procurement and weak demand from millers and traders, the price of mustard has once again started coming below the minimum support price of Rs 5650 per quintal.

Mustard Oil
