Soybean prices strengthened due to the possibility of government procurement starting in Madhya Pradesh

New Delhi. The plant delivery price of soybean in the most prominent producing state- Madhya Pradesh improved a bit during the week of October 18-24 after remaining in the grip of softness for a long time, but still it remained much below the minimum support price (MSP) of Rs 4892 per quintal. Government procurement of soybean is going to start soon in Madhya Pradesh. At present, the plant delivery price there is running between Rs 4600-4700 per quintal. On the other hand, some decline was recorded in the price of soybean in Maharashtra, while the price remained almost stable in Rajasthan.
Soya Oil (Refined)
Soya refined oil prices generally saw a strength of Rs 20, in Mandsaur it increased by Rs 40 to Rs 1248 per 10 kg and in Nagpur it increased by Rs 35 to Rs 1260 per 10 kg. In Haldia also it was up by 30 rupees but in Mumbai it was down by 10 rupees and in Kandla by 25 rupees. An improvement of 25 rupees was registered in Latur.
Arrival
At the national level, heavy arrival of soybean has started, which is making it easier for the plants to buy it. Arrival of soybean was recorded at 6.75 lakh bags on October 19, 9.00 lakh bags on October 21, 7.75 lakh bags on October 22 and 9.00 lakh bags on October 23, while each bag was of 100 kg (1 quintal).
Soya (DOC)
Due to better domestic and global demand, prices of soya DOC generally increased. Actually, its price is already running at a competitive level, while due to high prices of raw materials like maize etc., its good demand is being seen in poultry feed and animal feed manufacturing industry. The global market price of soybean oil is influencing the prices in the domestic segment, otherwise the prices should have remained soft during the peak supply season.
