Turvar Prices Fluctuate Due to Limited Demand

Mumbai. Turvar prices fluctuated during the current week due to limited demand at elevated prices. Arrivals in producer markets remained weak. Meanwhile, with the wedding season beginning, pulse millers are expecting increased demand for turvar in the coming days. This could lead to a rise in prices. Due to continued buying, Mumbai African Turvar prices saw a rise of Rs. 50 per quintal this week. With this improvement, prices ended the week at Rs. 5600/5650 for Mozambique White, Rs. 5300/5350 for Gajari, Rs. 5350/5400 for Mtwara, Rs. 5000/5050 for Malawi, and Rs. 7000/7050 for Sudan. Similarly, Chennai Tuvar Lemon prices improved by Rs. 50 per quintal this week to Rs. 6650/6675 per quintal at the weekend.
Imported
Due to sluggish export demand, Burma Tuvar prices declined by $10 per tonne this week and with this increase, the price remained at $740 per tonne at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the support of the port market and increased demand, Delhi Tuvar Lemon prices increased by Rs. 50 per quintal and Desi Tuvar prices increased by Rs. 50 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the price remained at Rs. 7050 for Lemon and Rs. 7400/7500 per quintal for Desi at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to weak selling and increased buying, the prices of Tur (tur) in Maharashtra witnessed an increase of Rs. 100/150 per quintal during the current week. With this increase, the prices at Solapur stood at Rs. 6200/7400, Akola Rs. 7200/7400, Latur Rs. 7200/7260, Nagpur Rs. 7400, Hinganghat Rs. 6500/7150 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7100/7300 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to slow buying, the prices at Karnataka Tur (tur) in Karnataka witnessed a decrease of Rs. 100/150 per quintal during the current week. With this decrease, the prices at Gulbarga stood at Rs. 6500/7400, Raichur Rs. 6669/7011, Bidar Rs. 6825/7374 and Talikot Rs. 6341/7019 per quintal during the current week.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to limited demand, Madhya Pradesh Tur prices remained unchanged this week, with prices at Katni (Rs. 7400/7700), Jabalpur (Rs. 5000/6500), and Kareli (Rs. 2500/6600) per quintal at the end of the week.
Others
Kanpur Tur prices declined by Rs. 50 per quintal this week, ending at Rs. 6400 per quintal. Similarly, Raipur Tur prices declined by Rs. 50 per quintal this week, ending at Rs. 7400/7600 per quintal.
Tuvar Dal
Due to limited demand, the prices of Tuvar Dal have fluctuated by Rs 100/150 per quintal during the current week. With this fluctuation, the prices at the weekend stood at Delhi Fatka Rs 10175/10700, Katni Fatka Rs 9850/10050, Akola Rs 10100/11000, Latur Fatka Rs 10800/11000, Gulbarga Fatka Rs 9800/10600 and Kanpur Fatka Rs 9900/10000 per quintal.
