Tuvar buying slow due to lack of customer support

Mumbai. Tuvar prices declined during the current week as customer demand remained sluggish. Due to sluggish demand for Tuvar dal, buying by dal millers remained slow, which put pressure on Tuvar prices. Tuvar sowing is going on in full swing in the country this year as the weather remains favorable for the crop. Due to increased sowing and imposition of stock limit, selling pressure is there in Tuvar. Due to which buying at higher prices is stopped. Due to continued selling by importers and sluggish customer support, Chennai Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs 150 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price of lemon remained at Rs 11050/11100 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Mumbai African Tuvar also fell by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and the price at the weekend became Mozambique White Rs. 11200, Gajari Rs. 11100, Malawi Rs. 10850 and Sudan New Rs. 11600/11650 per quintal.

Burma

Due to weak export demand, Burma Tuvar witnessed a fall of $30 per ton this week and with this fall, the price remained at $1400 per ton at the weekend.

Delhi

Due to sluggish demand due to the fall in port prices, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the price at the weekend became Lemon Rs. 11450, Maharashtra Line Rs. 11700 and Karnataka Line Rs. 11900 per quintal.

Maharashtra

Due to sluggish demand for Tuvar dal, the buying of Tuvar by dal millers has remained slow. Due to which the prices of Maharashtra Tuvar remained slow by Rs. 100/150 per quintal this week and the prices at the weekend remained at Solapur Rs. 10700/12200, Akola Rs. 11800/12050, Nagpur Rs. 12050/12200, Hinganghat Rs. 11200/11900 and Ahmednagar Rs. 11600/11800 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, Karnataka tuvar prices have fallen by Rs. 150/300 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Gulbarga Rs. 11500/12000, Raichur Rs. 10078/11459, Yadgir Rs. 11825 and Talikota Rs. 10675/11569 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to sluggish demand, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Katni Rs. 12200/12300, Jabalpur Rs. 9000/11000, Pipariya Rs. 9000/10700 and Kareli Rs. 9000/10660 per quintal.

Others

Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal was recorded in Raipur Tuvar and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 12000/12300 per quintal at the end of the week. Similarly, a decline of Rs. 200 per quintal was recorded in the prices of Raipur Tuvar during the current week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 10600 per quintal at the end of the week.

Tuvar Dal

Due to the fall in Tuvar prices and muted buying, Tuvar Dal prices declined by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the weekend prices stood at Delhi Fatka Rs. 16400/16900, Katni Fatka Rs. 16000/16200, Akola Rs. 16300/17500, Latur Fatka Rs. 17000/17200, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 16200/16800 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 16700/17000 per quintal.
