USDA did not release its weekly Export Sales report on Thursday due to the ongoing government shutdown. However, traders estimate that between 350,000 and 650,000 metric tons of wheat were sold during the week ending October 16.
According to the International Grains Council, 2025/26 world wheat production rose by 8 MMT to 827 MMT. Trade and consumption both increased by 1 MMT. Ending stocks were raised by 5 MMT to 275 MMT, while old-crop carryover declined by 3 MMT.
