According to NASS Crop Progress data, US corn planting was 76% complete as of Sunday, which is 6% ahead of the 5-year average of 70%. Kansas, Michigan, and North Carolina were the only states lagging behind the normal planting pace. Crop emergence reached 39%, which is 2 percentage points ahead of normal.
Two South Korean importers purchased a total of 135,000 metric tons of corn through separate overnight tenders.
