GLOBOIL INDIA, Mumbai – Key Highlights from 29 September to 01 October 2026 (PART-1)
★ CPOC, in a special press conference, said that CPOC accounts for 90% of total palm oil exports, with India and China being the largest buyers.
★ On 1 July, Indonesia launched the B50 biodiesel programme, which needs to be fully implemented by 1 October.
★ The biodiesel programme will use an additional 2 million tonnes of CPO.
★ Malaysia is also considering a B15 programme.
★ The impact of El Niño may be seen in January 2027.

Panelists’ Views on Sunflower Oil
★ From October to March, Ukraine is expected to export around 20,000 tonnes of sunflower oil per month. If the ongoing conflict in the Black Sea ends, exports could potentially double to around 40,000 tonnes per month.
★ Ukraine and Russia are now using ports in other countries for exports via rail, but transportation costs have increased significantly in both countries. Sunflower oil production is good in both countries, but transporting it to the destination remains difficult. Higher freight costs are also having an impact.
★ In 2025, exports from Russia were around 33,000–35,000 tonnes. Currently, exports are taking place at a rate of around 15,000–17,000 tonnes per month.
★ Russia is exporting 50,000–70,000 tonnes of sunflower oil per month to China by rail.
★ Sunflower oil is now increasingly being traded in containers instead of in bulk.
