Export sales for the old crop were recorded at 1.04 million metric tons (MMT) for the week ending March 20. This represents a 30.5% decline from the previous week and a 13.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. Japan made the largest purchase with 415,300 metric tons, followed by Mexico with 309,900 metric tons and Colombia with 212,900 metric tons. During the same week, total reductions amounted to 494,000 metric tons, most of which were redirected to other destinations. Sales for the new crop remained at 0 metric tons.
A South Korean importer purchased a total of 204,000 metric tons of corn in an overnight tender.
