Maize (Corn) International Market
Corn ended Monday's session on a weak note, with contracts falling by ¾ to 3 ¾ cents. The national average cash corn price from CMDTYView decreased by 1 cent, settling at $4.02 3/4 per bushel.
This morning, USDA reported a private export sale of 454,090 metric tons (MT) of corn to Mexico, with 364,792 MT allocated for the 2024/25 marketing year and 89,298 MT for 2025/26.
According to USDA's weekly export inspection data, corn exports for the week ending November 21 totaled 903,049 MT (35.55 million bushels), which was a 2.66% increase from the previous week and significantly higher than the same week last year. Of this total, 406,285 MT was shipped to Mexico, and 219,705 MT was sent to Japan. Total marketing year shipments have reached 10.028 million metric tons (394.81 million bushels), marking a 37.54% increase compared to last year and the strongest start since the 2018/19 marketing year.
