★ देसी कपास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हरियाणा में नई कृषि अनुदान योजना के तहत किसानों का पंजीयन शुरू, यह योजना 23 अप्रैल को शुरू हुई थी और 30 जून तक चलेगी।

★ इस योजना के तहत देसी कपास उगाने वाले किसानों को सत्यापन के बाद 3,000 रुपए प्रति एकड़ की अनुदान राशि मिलेगी।

★ पंजाब के भटिंडा जिले में सफ़ेद मक्खी के बढ़ते आक्रमण से कई किसानों ने फसल काटी। हालाँकि कृषि विभाग ने कहा कि अभी स्थिति नियंत्रण में है।

★ हरियाणा में भी गुलाबी इल्ली का प्रकोप बढ़ रहा है।

★ अगर सरकार ने नए बीज के इस्तमाल को मंजूरी नहीं दी तो ऐसा न हो कि भविष्य में भारत जो कपास का दूसरा प्रमुख उत्पादक देश है पीछे छूट जाए व आयातक देश न बन जाए।

★ Registration of farmers started in Haryana under the new agricultural subsidy scheme to promote indigenous cotton, this scheme started on 23 April and will run till 30 June.

★ Under this scheme, farmers growing indigenous cotton will get a subsidy of Rs 3,000 per acre after verification.

★ Due to the increasing attack of white fly in Punjab's Bhatinda district, many farmers harvested the crop. However, the Agriculture Department said that the situation is under control right now.

★ The infestation of pink caterpillar is also increasing in Haryana.

★ If the government does not approve the use of new seeds, it may happen that in future India, which is the second major producer of cotton, may be left behind and become an importing country.
