★ राइस एक्सपोर्ट एसोसिएशन के ED राजिव कुमार ने कहा कि केंद्रीय पूल में पर्याप्त मात्रा में चावल का स्टॉक उपलब्ध है ऐसे में सरकार को निर्यात पर लगे 20% शुल्क और अन्य नियमों में ढील देनी चाहिए।
★ बफर में 505 लाख टन चावल का स्टॉक उपलब्ध जबकि बफर नोर्म्स 135 लाख टन है।
★ गत सप्ताह हुई मीटिंग में एसोसिएशन ने सरकार से बासमती चावल के निर्यात पर फिक्स्ड एक्सपोर्ट ड्यूटी लगाने की मांग की थी।

★ आई ग्रेन इंडिया का मानना है कि फ़िलहाल सरकार इस मामले में दखल नहीं देगी क्योंकि देश में गेहूं का स्टॉक कमजोर है। PDS के तहत गेहूं की जगह चावल का आवंटन बढ़ सकता है।

★ ED of Rice Export Association Rajeev Kumar said that there is sufficient stock of rice available in the central pool, so the government should relax the 20% duty on export and other rules.
★ There is 505 lakh tonne of rice stock available in the buffer while the buffer norms are 135 lakh tonne.
★ In the meeting held last week, the association had demanded from the government to impose fixed export duty on the export of Basmati rice.

★ I Grain India believes that at present the government will not interfere in this matter because the wheat stock in the country is weak. Allocation of rice in place of wheat under PDS may increase.
