Significant rise in mustard and mustard oil prices over the past year
★ Over the last year, major markets across the country have witnessed a sharp increase in the prices of mustard seeds and mustard oil.
Mustard price trends (per quintal):
★ Delhi (42% condition): On 11 July 2025, the price stood at ₹7,000, compared to ₹6,050 a year ago — a rise of ₹950.
★ Charkhi Dadri: Reached ₹7,050, up from ₹6,050 — an increase of ₹1,000.
★ Bharatpur: Currently priced at ₹6,770, while it was ₹5,800 last year — up by ₹970.
★ Agra: Now at ₹7,550, compared to ₹6,625 a year ago — a gain of ₹925.

Mustard oil price trends (per 10 kg):
★ Delhi (Expeller): ₹1,530, compared to ₹1,175 last year — a rise of ₹355.
★ Charkhi Dadri (Expeller): ₹1,550, up from ₹1,180 — ₹370 higher.
★ Bharatpur (Kachchi Ghani): Reached ₹1,580, up from ₹1,180 — an increase of ₹400.
★ Bharatpur (Expeller): ₹1,560 now, up from ₹1,170 — a rise of ₹390.

★ The continuous rise in prices of mustard and its oil is largely due to sustained demand. Over the past year, mustard prices have risen by ₹925–₹1,000 per quintal, while mustard oil has increased by ₹355–₹400 per 10 kg.
★ Looking ahead, the festive season could push prices further upward, although intermittent price corrections may also occur in the meantime.
