New Delhi. Arrival of new walnut goods is expected to start within the next two months, while there is a good stock of it in major producing markets and consumer centers.

Due to this, a good amount of goods is coming in, while the demand is not very strong due to summer season. Buyers are buying walnuts in limited quantities in anticipation of the next crop. At present, there is also a lack of festive demand.

In the mountainous areas of Jammu and Kashmir, 20 percent of the goods are said to be in stock and in other areas also stockists have started clearing old stock.

In recent days, the price of walnut has softened a bit and there is little possibility of much change in it before the next strong arrival of the new crop starts.

Due to better production of walnuts in Chile, a country located in the continent of South America and low prices, there are indications of its good import in India,

due to which there is no problem of its supply and availability in the domestic sector. Consumption of walnuts has decreased due to severe heat, lack of Lagnasara and the absence of auspicious festivals. Its price may remain stable or soften somewhat in the near future.
