The USDA reported a private export sale of 320,068 MT of corn to Mexico this morning, all for 2025/26.
After the market close, NASS reported that 91% of the US corn crop was dented and 56% mature, both behind the normal pace. Harvest was 11% complete, in line with average. Crop conditions slipped by 1% to 66% good to excellent (gd/ex), with the Brugler500 index down 2 points to 370.
USDA reported corn export shipments at 1.329 MMT (52.32 mbu) during the week ending September 18. That was 15.54% higher than the same week last year but down 12.16% from the prior week. Mexico was the top destination with 473,034 MT, followed by Japan at 331,588 MT and Colombia at 187,756 MT. Marketing year exports for 2025/26 now total 3.492 MMT (137.47 mbu), 58.63% above the same period last year.
In Brazil, first-crop corn planting was 25% complete in the Center-South region as of last Thursday, according to AgRural.
