Rainfall expected from the Gulf to the Great Lakes region next week may halt early planting activities across the country.
According to the EIA (Energy Information Administration) report, ethanol production continues to decline. For the week ending April 11, ethanol production dropped by 9,000 barrels per day to 1.012 million barrels per day. Ethanol stocks also saw a drawdown of 220,000 barrels, reducing total stocks to 26.814 million barrels.
Ethanol exports fell by 37,000 barrels per day to 137,000 bpd, while refiner input of ethanol increased by 30,000 bpd to 902,000 bpd.
Export Sales data will be released Thursday morning. The trade is expecting old crop corn bookings for the week ending April 10 to be between 0.6 and 1.8 million metric tons (MMT), while new crop bookings are estimated in the range of 0 to 300,000 metric tons (MT).
