International Soybean Market
USDA reported a private export sale of 204,000 metric tons of soybean meal for 2025/26 to unknown destinations.
According to the NASS Crop Progress report, 94% of the U.S. soybean crop had emerged, with 17% blooming and 3% setting pods—both 1 point ahead of the 5-year average. Crop ratings held steady at 66% good/excellent, while the Brugler500 index rose 1 point to 368 due to a shift from good to excellent.
The USDA Grain Stocks report showed soybean stocks at 1.007 billion bushels as of June 1, 37 million bushels higher than a year earlier and well above estimates of 974 million. The Acreage report showed soybean planting at 83.38 million acres—slightly below the 83.5 million acre trade estimate and 115,000 acres under the March Prospective Plantings.
Export inspections for the week ending June 26 showed 224,787 MT (8.26 million bushels) of soybeans shipped, up 11.4% from the prior week but still down 29.7% from the same week last year. Mexico was the top destination with 113,190 MT, followed by Japan with 38,485 MT. Since September 1, marketing year exports total 45.851 MMT (1.685 billion bushels), up 10.3% year-over-year.
