Crop Progress data showed US winter wheat planting at 20%, 3 points behind average. Emergence was 4%, on par with average. Spring wheat harvest was 96% complete, matching the 5-year average.

Export Inspections data showed 854,454 MT (31.4 mbu) of wheat shipped during the week ending September 18. That was 12.96% higher than the prior week and 17.92% larger than the same week last year. The Philippines was the largest buyer at 131,998 MT, followed by Mexico at 117,247 MT and Vietnam at 67,340 MT. Marketing year shipments now total 8.711 MMT (320 mbu), 12.66% higher than the same period last year.
